New Attorneys Named At Law Firm

...Randick O'Dea & Tooliatos, a law firm serving East Bay clients for more than 20 years, announced today the addition of two new attorneys to the firm. Joining the firm are John Nielsen and Brendan T. Lund.

Randick O'Dea & Tooliatos offers specialty practice areas in real estate law, business and corporate transactions and litigation, employment law, litigation, finance, estate planning and taxation, construction contracts and dispute resolution. With Mr. Nielsen now being an integral part of the practice, the firm can now offer both current and new clients expertise in patent law, including prosecution, litigation and licensing.

Mr. Nielsen's litigation experience also includes trials, arbitration and mediation. His practice also includes trademark and trade secret law, as well as copyright and contract litigation.

"Mr. Nielsen brings an added level of expertise in the area of trademark and patent law, something our clients have increasingly been involved with," noted Robert Randick, Managing Partner at Randick O'Dea and Tooliatos. "We feel that Mr. Nielsen will be an important addition to our pool of specialty law," he added.

Prior to joining Randick O'Dea and Tooliatos, Mr. Nielsen was with litigation firms in San Francisco and Oakland. He is a registered patent attorney with a technical background in physics, having completed his BS in Physics at California State University at Hayward. Mr. Nielsen earned his JD from Hastings College of the Law. In addition to being able to practice in all of the state and federal courts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Mr. Nielsen is also registered to appear before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a patent attorney.

"Mr. Lund brings an added level of expertise in the area of business transaction law and tax planning to our clients," Randick continued. "We feel that out clients will benefit from Mr. Lund's extensive legal knowledge and experience," he stated. With Mr. Lund joining the practice, the firm can now offer both current and new clients additional expertise in corporate and business transactions with a focus on tax implications.

Before joining the firm Mr. Lund worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP, an international accounting firm. He worked extensively with both start up and established businesses in Seattle, Washington and the Silicon Valley. Mr. Lund also has extensive experience in limited liability company and partnership counseling, organization and structuring, and tax and estate planning for the individuals and businesses.
