Dr. Paul Martin
Of Counsel
Dr. Paul Martin, Of Counsel to the Randick, O'Dea, & Tooliatos law firm, brings a wealth of experience to the practice of law. Dr. Martin, who holds degrees in Law and Medicine, is a graduate of the Ohio State University law school. He began his career as a patent attorney for the Proctor and Gamble Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He subsequently left Proctor and Gamble and entered graduate school at the University of Cincinnati, receiving a Master's degree in Anatomy. Thereafter, he spent a number of years in the private practice of law, and served for a period of time as an Assistant County Prosecutor in Lucas County, Ohio. During that time he tried over 100 criminal cases. In 1981, he moved to California, taking a position as patent attorney for the Stauffer Chemical Co., in Richmond, CA.
In 1986 he left his position at Stauffer to undertake the study of medicine. Thereafter, he served a number of years as Patent Counsel for the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, Berkeley, CA. In 2001, he took a position as a Technology Licensing Executive for the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Livermore, CA, and held that position until recently retiring. He is now Of Counsel to the Randick, O' Dea and Tooliatos law firm, focusing on intellectual property matters .
